I am developer/code-reviewer/debugger/bug-fixer/architect/teacher/builder from dubai, uae

I listened to a Jay Shetty's Podcast episode on principles to get people to actually listen to you rather than tune you out.

  1. Keep your emotions in check [get calm before you speak, not during]

  2. Clarity beats passion [a clear message lands harder than an emotional one]

  3. State facts with safety [lower the perceived threat for people to actually hear you]

  4. More questions, fewer statements*[curiosity opens doors that declarations close]

  5. Tone and body language are what's actually heard [delivery is paramount, intent is secondary]

  6. Close the loop [alignment or a clear next direction]

Simple list, but not easy to execute under pressure. I'll be trying these out.

Happy hackin'
